tlmNexus continues sponsorship of the Arkwright Engineering Awards

tlmNexus are proud to sponsor Arkwright students on an annual basis. On 28th October 2022, sponsors, scholars and their parents were finally able to meet again in person, the first time since the pandemic started, at the Arkwright Award Ceremony in London. The ceremony was held in the iconic Institute of Engineering and Technology in Savoy Place. Emma Wade, our Head of HR, represented us at the ceremony, seen pictured with this year’s sponsored scholar Alex Ralph.

The ceremony was extremely well organised. The speakers Air Commodore Tony Keeling from the RAF, Eliane Algaard, Operations Director at SSEN, and Chris Wilson, Director of Development at IMEC and 2000 Arkwright alumni, were entertaining and inspirational. The most amazing part of the day was listening to the incredible achievements that the scholars had already achieved by age 16 and the phenomenal passion they show in their projects and ambitions.

Alex has an interest in software development and engineering and already being a member of the Combined Cadet Force made him a perfect candidate for us to sponsor and support. We look forward to inviting Alex to Brighton to meet the software development team and understand more about how we design our digital solutions. He will also join a member of the Customer Integration Team on an RAF base to understand how the software supports our customers.
