We regularly engage with our stakeholders to maintain a high level of corporate involvement through many activities and associated policies:
Our team members
- Loyalty, innovation and hard work are rewarded

- We encourage flexibility, including a supportive, trusting culture and personal development
- We donate up to five days’ volunteering each year for every employee; for example, membership of various boards of Governors and Charities, and volunteering in Schools
- We offer incremental holiday entitlements for long service
- Our employee social team is creative and dynamic, organising events and competitions throughout the year
- We hold interactive ‘Quarterlies’, all-company briefings which ensure everyone is informed about what’s happening and gets the opportunity to socialise
- Our team values, which are outlined at the end of this page, are used to inform all that we do
Charitable giving
- We consistently support our local food banks.
- We support company charities, voted for each year by the team
- We support team members’ voluntary charity activities
Sponsorship
We sponsor causes, many of which are relevant to our work, including:
- Funding an annual Engineering Education scholarship through the Arkwright Trust. Each year, a student receives financial support from us through the Trust, as well as mentoring conversations and accompanying us on some customer visits
- GB Bobsleigh Team, captained by pilot, John Stanbridge, an RAF engineer
- RAF Sailing Championships
- RAFGA Ladies' Team
- RAF Waddington Vulcan's Karting
- Yeovil rugby club age grade players
Environment
- Approximately half our team work from their homes around the country
- We encourage cycling to work
- We recycle general waste including cardboard, plastic, paper etc.
- We recycle IT equipment
- We have joined the Love Electric electric car scheme
Community Engagement
- We give educational support to local students
- We support local sports teams
- We use local, smaller companies as suppliers where possible
- We support our employees who engage in civic duties such as serving as a magistrate
Best practice and voluntary industry support
Balancing both transparency and confidentiality, we work with industry and government trade bodies to deliver the best working practices available.
We hold Voluntary Membership of Industry Working Groups and Committees including:
- Royal Aeronautical Society Airworthiness and Maintenance Committee
- Institution of Mechanical Engineers Aerospace Division Board
- Team Defence Information Standards Working Group
- TechUK Defence Commercial and SME Committees
