Resolve Ecosystem
A web-enabled collaborative issue management system
Resolve Ecosystem
Defence issue management software for complex military engineering and airworthiness environments
Resolve Ecosystem brings together safety through-life issue management, data publishing, analytics and integration support within a single connected environment.
Designed for complex Defence programmes, it enables organisations to manage engineering, compliance and operational information while benefiting from ongoing customer support and capability evolution.
The Resolve Ecosystem combines multiple tlmNexus services to provide a connected issue management and data publishing capability with enhanced business analytics, all within a single portal environment.
The challenge of managing issues at scale
Managing engineering, safety and operational issues across complex programmes can become increasingly difficult when information is fragmented across multiple systems, spreadsheets, email chains and disconnected teams.
This lack of structure causes organisations and teams to have:
- Limited visibility of issue status and ownership
- Delays caused by duplicated or manual processes
- Difficulty maintaining clear audit trails
- Challenges sharing information across teams and suppliers
- Loss of organisational knowledge when personnel move roles
As issue volumes increase, maintaining consistency, traceability and effective decision-making become progressively harder.
What Resolve does
Resolve provides a structured framework for recording, assessing, progressing and resolving issues across complex environments. Its best-known application is across 30+ military air platforms.
Resolve enables organisations to:
- Capture issues in a structured, consistent way
- Track issues from identification through to resolution
- Provide visibility across teams, platforms and organisations
- Support collaboration and accountability
- Maintain a complete, auditable record
- Link supporting evidence, actions and decisions to associated issues
- Enable proactive and reactive decision-making
- Support longer-term trend analysis and continuous improvement
How Resolve works in practice
Resolve supports a structured, configurable workflow aligned to organisational processes and governance requirements and embedded within ways of working.
There are many examples of configuration across different air platforms including Eurofighter Typhoon, Boeing P-8A Poseidon, Apache AH 64E, and BAE Systems Hawk.
Different teams within these platforms work in their own ways, and tlmNexus integration and software engineers work in partnership with the customer account managers and their MOD clients to configure Resolve to suit each working environment.
The software is continuously improved to suit each team and to maintain compliance against ever-changing regulations.
Capture issues
Issues are raised in a structured format using consistent data and configurable workflows.
Assess and assign
Issues are categorised, prioritised and allocated to the appropriate teams or individuals.
Track progress
Actions, decisions and supporting evidence are monitored with full visibility across stakeholders.
Resolve and close
Issues are progressed through to resolution with a clear, auditable history of decisions and mitigation actions.
How Resolve Ecosystem supports Airworthiness issues in the MOD
Resolve Ecosystem:
Gives a single source of reference with a transparent view of all actions and tasks relating to key Airworthiness Issues.
Links all supporting documentation, decisions and also associated Airworthiness Issues.
Improves corporate knowledge by retaining Airworthiness Issue technical and operations data and information.
Helps teams to effectively manage and mitigate and potential key risks.
Ensures a consistent approach to Airworthiness Issue management and resolution.
Presents easily accessible management information to help individuals and teams to make informed timely decisions throughout the Airworthiness Issue management process.
Shows what needs to be done and by whom, in order to get priority Airworthiness Issues resolved.
Presents a complete audit trail. Easily tracks notes, evidence, documents and communications that accompany each step in the Airworthiness Issue management process.
The Resolve Ecosystem
Resolve is evolving into a broader ecosystem of connected tools and services that extend its core functionality and provide enhanced visibility, publishing, analytics and integration support.
The ecosystem has been designed to improve workflow efficiency, strengthen compliance and provide users with a more connected operational environment.
Advanced Search
Advanced Search enables rapid access to large volumes of issue and engineering data without impacting the live operational environment.
Using a separate Operational Data Store (ODS), Advanced Search:
- Provides high-performance search capability across large datasets
- Supports faster retrieval of operational and engineering information
- Improves usability for teams managing high issue volumes
- Enables enhanced filtering and data accessibility across programmes
The capability is being introduced in response to growing operational demand for faster, more flexible access to information.
e-Library
e-Library provides a fully digitised and traceable technical publication capability designed for the highly regulated environments in which tlmNexus operates including the MOD.
It enables organisations, such as the teams running Eurofighter Typhoon, to:
- Store and publish approved technical documentation
- Maintain version control and traceability
- Distribute updated information within minutes rather than days
- Provide controlled access for multiple user groups and partner organisations
- Integrate technical publications directly within Resolve workflows
e-Library supports operators, technical authorities, maintenance organisations and Defence partners requiring secure access to approved information.
NexusHub
NexusHub provides a single portal login across tlmNexus services, creating a more connected and efficient user experience.
It enables users to:
- Access multiple tlmNexus applications from one environment
- View tasks, dashboards and activities in one place
- Reduce multiple logins and “swivel-chair” between systems
- Improve efficiency across interconnected workflows
Where customers use multiple tlmNexus services, NexusHub is included as standard.
Business Analytics
Business Analytics enables organisations to exploit large volumes of operational and engineering data to support better decision-making.
The capability provides:
- Dashboard visualisation and reporting
- Trend analysis and performance monitoring
- Management information and KPI tracking
- Strategic and operational decision support
- Greater visibility across programmes and activities
Business Analytics is continuing to evolve as part of the Resolve roadmap.
