Defence Airworthiness Issue Management contract extended
Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) has enacted the option to extend the extant contract for its Airworthiness Issue Management service with tlmNexus by 12 months to 31 March 2026 along with tasking to onboard additional air systems to the cloud software service that we provide via the Crown Commercial Service’s G-Cloud Framework.
The service will continue to support more than 30 UK MOD air system fleets into 2026 and welcomes TIQUILA and Chinook 47ER to the service delivery.
The TIQUILA Project will introduce two initial MUAS types (Mini Uncrewed Air Systems), Stalker (portable) and Indago (packable) systems.
In addition to TIQUILA, tlmNexus will onboard 14 new Chinook H-47(ER) heavy lift helicopters.
These new air systems will take the number of fleets to 33 that benefit from the capability of the company’s award-winning Resolve software service provided under the existing DES AIMS contract. Resolve enables the MoD’s delivery teams to highlight and manage airworthiness-related issues through their life cycle from front-line to factory in a way that is compliant with the UK Military Aviation Authority’s engineering regulations.
Andy Davis, Deputy Head of DE&S Airworthiness Team (DAT) commented:
"I am really pleased that DE&S has secured the extension of services provided by tlmNexus. This demonstrates a collective commitment to proving an effective and coherent system for managing crucial air safety information across a large parts of the UK’s aviation inventory; In turn this ensures the highest levels of air system availability and operational success can be achieved by our front-line partners."
