Location: Various (chiefly DE&S and in the Yeovil/Abbey Wood area) Travel will be required, as necessary, between UK MOD sites in support of the defined deliverables
Job Description:
The incumbent will be responsible for a major change programme ensuring Project Team adoption of Resolve as their primary airworthiness and safety tool that supports the core functionality of an MOD Project team(s). The role will augment our client-facing team in implementing web-enabled business management solutions into the customer environment and will be responsible for ensuring the adoption of Resolve pan-community.
Roles and Responsibilities
The primary role is delivering to an air environment community Resolve that will enable Project Teams to manage their airworthiness and safety issues coherently and in alignment with published procedures and policies. Furthermore, the role will help deliver integrated business solutions, understand customer requirements, business improvements and opportunities for other tlmNEXUS products.
The role will cultivate a productive relationship between client, our system analysts, architects and development team, whilst maturing system requirements from concept through to ongoing deployment; in addition the role will be responsible for documenting emerging user needs and requirements.
Key areas of responsibility are:
- Project Management: Taking responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory delivery of small-to-medium-scale projects. Identifying and managing risks to the success of the project
- Relationship management: Developing and managing one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups. Initiating communications between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact
- Ownership of the quality and content of all outgoing deliverables for managed projects and ensuring compliance with tlmNEXUS standards
- Ascertaining client requirements through interviews and workshops, analysing current systems, assessing business purpose
- Translating client requirements into business requirement documents
- Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
- Drawing up specific proposals for new, modified or replacement systems
- Providing regular and accurate communication on the status of all active projects including regular progress and costs reports against project milestones and budgets
Person Specification
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Experience of working on defence-related projects with an engineering and/or capability delivery bias
- Project Experience or relevant experience in an air environment
- Experience of Airworthiness, Safety and Risk processes
- An appreciation of the defence acquisition process (SMART acquisition, the CADMID/T cycle, Through Life Management Principles and IKM)
- Experience of a full life-cycle development environment
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a numerate or managerial discipline
- Available to be security cleared to SC level
