Job Description

As a Developer for tlmNEXUS you will be working in varied cross functional Agile teams responsible for building and supporting a wide range of new and established .NET web application products in a Ministry of Defence (MOD) environment.

Responsibilties

• Participate in Agile story and task planning sessions
• Attend daily scrums and report on progress
• Write good quality code to deadlines
• Communicate with cross-functional team members
• Present finished features to internal staff during end of Sprint demos

Experience, Knowledge and Skills required

Essential

• ASP.NET 2.0/3.5 (C#)
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005
• Visual Studio.Net 2005/2008/2010
• CSS, XHTML and JavaScript
• AGILE methodologies
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well as a team player
• Ability to problem solve
• Good at identifying areas for improvement and putting forward suggestions
• Ability to obtain security clearance

Desirable

• jQuery
• Good understanding on Object Orientated Programming
• Use of code generation tools (LLBL Pro, SubSonic, etc)
• Relational database design
• Ability to lead developer teams and mentor junior developers
• Unit Testing experience
